Pimlico suite

I recently did application icons and a website for the Pimlico suite, a quite nice project I must say. I use both Dates and Tasks on a regular basis and I love the approach to do one thing and do it well that goes hand in hand with a simple and smart interface.

Doing a suite of icons that needs to look like they belong together can sometimes turn out rather bad, but I hope I managed to get these to feel as part of a whole without getting lost in the maze of branding.

In other news Hylke Bons did a amazing work on the new icons for Pidgin, quite a bunch of them smileys. Some of these have now been added to gnome-icon-theme so projects like Gossip, Evolution and others can feel some of the love as well.

This looks awesome. The green colour gives the icons a really fresh and sober yet exciting feeling. Dates and Tasks look like really cool apps as well.

I also look forward using the GIT-smileys! :)

    Indeed. Nice work.

  3. [...] Andreas took and resized my Pidgin smileys for use in gnome-icon-theme. Since there were a lot of requests for smaller smileys for Pidgin I took the 16×16 versions and put them into a Tiny Theme. I don’t think it will be in 2.1.0, but I hope 2.1.1. Currently it only includes the most commonly used icons. [...]
